Fall for Netflix’s New Christmas Movie

This year’s list of new holiday movies being released is longer than Santa’s nice list! 

We will be sharing our thoughts and reviews of every movie we watch, and between Netflix, Disney, and Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas you can count on holiday content all season long. 

Our first fresh watch of 2022 is Falling for Christmas, with Lindsay Lohan and Chord Overstreet. Chord Overstreet returns from his term with Glee and Lohan launches back into production after a pause. Netflix’s “Falling for Christmas” is one of the earliest released Christmas movies this holiday season, and we are already falling for the winter vibes and classic rom-com love story. 

Lindsay Lohan’s Sierra Belmont is a fun character for the whole family to enjoy as she makes her attempt at social media influencer stardom. Chase Russell is a lovable single father working to keep alive the legacy of his late-wife while bringing the holiday spirit to the ski lodge he runs. A holiday accident gives a local heiress the chance to relearn the meaning of Christmas, and maybe even fall in love! 

This movie puts a great 2022 twist on a traditional holiday love story, with a diverse cast and Lohan’s return to the silver screen. We think today’s kids and teens will love how relatable it is to see an influencer struggle as an up and comer. Netflix opens up a conversation on processing grief during the holidays and what it means to discover yourself. The magic of the holiday season drives the story, and we are slightly partial to a romantic horse-drawn sleigh.
